Your Opportunity to Make an Impact

As an Inventory Control Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory of materials and products in alignment with organizational standards and inventory cycles. This position requires strong organizational skills to maintain precise records and accurate counts, as well as proficiency in computer operations, particularly Edge WMS and Sage accounting software. Your attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies will help optimize workflow and support overall warehouse efficiency.

What You Will Do

Inventory Control

  • Follow established inventory control procedures to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Execute daily inventory analysis, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform inventory moves between facilities or bin locations as needed.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy assurance through weekly and monthly reporting, including investigating shipping errors and tracking inventory metrics.


Cycle Counting

  • Conduct daily cycle counts for finished goods, packaging materials, and non-conforming materials.
  • Verify proper material locations and search for misclassified inventory.
  • Open containers to count or weigh items, mark remaining quantities, and report discrepancies or damaged products.
  • Publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics and recommend process improvements based on root cause analysis.


Administrative

  • Support all phases of warehouse operations, including quality control and administration.
  • Assist with WMS software upgrades and new system implementations.
  • Compile historical data and trends to ensure distribution milestones are met.
  • Analyze variances, report conclusions, and recommend process enhancements.


Who We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven time management skills with ability to respond to time-sensitive issues and work overtime as needed.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to build vendor relationships.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-directed, and adaptable team player.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using a Warehouse Management System and 3 years performing cycle counts.
  • Ability to train and certify on warehouse equipment within 60 days of hire.


Knowledge

  • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Understanding of safety guidelines and inventory tracking processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Comfortable using WMS Edge and Sage software.


Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.


Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
  • Work Environment: Primarily indoors in a warehouse setting; occasional exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent walking, lifting, and standing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires bending, stooping, and working in varying temperatures.


The salary range for this role is $19 to $21/hour and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
