Baler Tech/Hydraulic Technician/ Industrial Maintenance/Millwright
Job Purpose: Maintains production and quality by ensuring repair, reconditioning and installation/removal of recycling machinery and mechanical equipment.
Job Duties:
Assist in the reconditioning, repair and installation of large recycling equipment
- Ensures operation of recycling machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repair or replacement requirements on engines, motors, hydraulics, electrical, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Experience in rebuilding large hydraulic cylinders
- Experience with hydraulic valves and pumps
- Proficient at Mig and stick welding
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Experience in rigging large machinery
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in the installation, rigging, or servicing of large recycling equipment at customer locations
- Job will include training in electrical, hydraulics, welding and fabrication specifically related to recycling equipment
- Preparation of inventory forms, time sheets, and records as required
- Work within a team environment to accomplish company objectives
- Hours: Full time with the ability to travel, including overnight travel. Shop hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Customer locations variable
Skills/Qualifications Required
- High School diploma or equivalent, Trade School a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record check
- Experience with electrical control wiring, programmable controllers, hydraulic and industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Must possess necessary skills to work around and operate equipment including forklift, scissor lift, welders, rigging equipment, and power tools
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Responsible attitude with high degree of common sense. Desire to learn and succeed in a multi task environment. Strong Mechanical aptitude
