The Preceptor CNA provides hands-on training and mentorship to new CNA orientees and NAIT students in a skilled nursing setting. This role supports clinical excellence and helps uphold HMR Veterans Services' high standards of resident care while fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Train and mentor new CNA orientees and NAIT students during clinical orientation and skill development
- Demonstrate proper techniques for activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility assistance, and vital sign monitoring
- Observe performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to support competency and confidence
- Ensure trainees follow facility policies, procedures, and resident safety standards
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess trainee progress and readiness
- Promote a culture of teamwork, learning, and professional growth
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Active employee in good standing with the organization
- Demonstrated clinical competence and professionalism
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Commitment to quality resident care and mentoring peers
