Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role (minimum 3 days in-office) for a Job Captain located in Sacramento, CA with some work-from-home flexibility. The Job Captain will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents, managing project timelines, leading design and project meetings, ensuring adherence to governmental approvals, and conducting value engineering and constructibility reviews. The Job Captain will collaborate with the entire project team to ensure successful project delivery from inception through completion.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in design development and construction document preparation
- Experience with site planning, governmental approvals, and code compliance
- Ability to manage project timelines and coordinate team efforts
- Proficiency in value engineering and constructibility reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field preferred; experience equivalent considered
- On track for Registration/licensure as an Architect is a plus
- Proficient in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
