What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hmong Cultural Center Museum Tour Guide Leader position at Hmong Cultural Center?
Job Summary: Help lead Monday through Thursday tours of the Hmong Cultural Center Museum! Position reports to the Director of Programs at Hmong Cultural Center.
Responsibilities:
- Leading of Monday-Thursday prescheduled group tours to the museum.
- Helping visitors at the museum front desk and with museum admissions and gift shop sales from 10 AM - 4 PM Monday through Thursday
- Assisting in the Maintenance of a museum group tour schedule on Google Docs
- Assisting with Targeted outreach to K12 schools and University Social Sciences and Education programs throughout the Twin Cities area.
- Other Museum-related projects as assigned by supervisor
- General Hmong Cultural Center Outreach Activities
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with and Interest in Hmong Culture and History
- Strong Communications and Public Relations Skills
- Strong Aptitude in Interacting with the Public including with Persons of Different Age groups and Ethnic and Racial and Socioeconomic backgrounds.
Hours:
24 Hours a Week, 10 AM - 4 PM Monday through Thursday
Please note that the continuation of this position after June 30, 2027 will be dependent upon the availability of grant funding.
