About this Role:

This is a full-time hybrid position based in our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. As an IT Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining our HITRUST and HIPAA compliance posture, while also designing, developing, and optimizing our SIEM and SOAR capabilities. We operate in a fast-paced environment where success is measured by the effectiveness of our security controls and the efficiency of our incidence response processes. We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who can work closely with IT, development, and compliance teams to build and maintain a secure and compliant system infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all security controls align strictly with HITRUST and HIPAA frameworks.
- Assist in the management of security policies and procedures.
- Verify that IT-related policies, procedures, and standards remain current and aligned with control requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation and execution of formal security audits.
Security Operations & Automation
- Contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing optimization of the Google SecOps (SIEM/SOAR) platform, including playbooks, collection of evidence and alerting.
- Research and engineer solutions to recurring security problems.
Communication & Leadership
- Effectively communicate security-related information and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in management or computer security-related domain.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an IT compliance/security role with working knowledge of the HITRUST CSF and HIPAA Security Rule.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with security in on-premises and cloud environments (GCP or AWS).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms.
- Desirable: Familiarity with security solutions such as firewalls and endpoint security.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
