Personal injury, Insurance Verification Specialist

Health Management Company of America (HMCA), is seeking a Insurance Verification, Personal Injury- professional for a high volume Diagnostic Imaging Centers, position is located in Boca Raton, Florida.

Responsibilities:

• The Insurance Verification person is responsible for validating patient Injury insurance coverage, insurance details.
• Works closely with Attorney firms to confirm representation and information pertaining to claim.
• Confirms the data in patients chart is accurate.
• Communicates with MRI centers to ensure schedules are verified timely and potential problems.
• Works closely with other shared services departments; scheduling, possibly cross train departments
• Verifies insurance benefits and discusses insurance information with the patient.
• Documents all activity as appropriate in the EMR system
• Responsible for tracking patient financial information and correction of any errors
• Confirm with the insurance company whether or not an individual is covered under insurance provider for applicable program

Requirements:

• Computer Knowledge;Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience with Personal Injury Insurance Verification.
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Computer skills with emphasis on accuracy of patient demographic information.
• Must be organized, good time management
• Proficiency with various Microsoft Windows products and Medical systems. Knowledge of Medical Health Insurance terminology required
• Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization and execution skill and the ability to work independently as well as a within the department.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be eligible to pass state agency Background Screening (fingerprints required prior to start).We are a national company with multiple facilities. Excellent pay with health benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
