Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient project completion. This role requires mechanical knowledge, familiarity with construction equipment, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, to support large-scale construction projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Load and unload materials using front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to execute tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines.
- Operate specialized machinery such as concrete mixers and farm machinery when required for specific tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machinery.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment while following all safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
