Responsibilities
As a Logistics Specialist I, you will provide analytical and operating support for all HL-GA shipping responsibilities. You will facilitate all shipping requirements and provide a smooth flow of products into the facility, and from the facility to its end point. This will include initiating the quote process with carriers, analyzing freight carrier capabilities, and providing carrier recommendations based on ability to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Execute all logistical operations and responsibilities in the field, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of required services and resources
- Coordinate directly with Korean-speaking customers, suppliers, and global headquarters to support logistics planning, shipment execution, and issue resolution
- Determine most efficient means of shipping, considering urgency of delivery, carrier’s ability to meet or exceed time requirements, cost, etc.
- Maintain records for all outbound shipments. Analyze shipping data and provide details as requested
- Track and troubleshoot shipment deliveries and problems and provide delivery confirmations when complete
- Assist in identifying areas for improvements in all shipping/receiving functions
- Assist in the development of Shipping/Receiving processes and procedures
- Responsible for OTD & metric achievement, expediting, tracking & reporting
- Verify availability of product(s) and manufacturing lead time(s), are accurate and will meet customer requirements
- Provide a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
- Publish and present service and inventory metrics and results
- Work closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target inventory levels
- Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance
- Flexible with work hours including weekly planning meeting with global headquarters
- Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 1 years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant or related experience
- Strong knowledge of procedures as they relate to material flow
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Professional fluency in Korean and English required for coordination with Korean-speaking stakeholders on logistics and shipment activities
- MS Office Suite

- Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and office equipment
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and move within office and operational areas
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move typical office materials, equipment, and material samples
- Primarily office-based environment within a manufacturing facility
- Frequent use of computer systems, including ERP (SAP) and financial reporting tools
- Occasional exposure to production or operational areas requiring adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements
- May require flexibility to support month-end, year-end, or audit-related activities
