Overview:
Supports accounts payable team using a wide range of developing professional skills. Assists in computing, classifying and recording accounts payable transactions to ensure the records of the organization are accurate. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Eager to learn, highly organized and willing to contribute creatively to the team.Responsibilities:
- Maintains accounting records by computing, classifying and recording numerical data for consultant entry, UK trade entry and imported US trade entry to keep financial records complete as assigned under direction
- Maintains accounting databases by entering assigned data into the computer; processing backups as requested
- Emails responses to payment inquiry and information requests
- May assist with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Performs tasks detailed in the monthly check list review
- May check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by team
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically with 0 years of experience
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in Deltek Vision preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve and apply appropriate solutions
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
