Technical Business Analyst (Agile and DevOps)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid, onsite one or two days per week to start. May eventually go fully onsite)
Type: Long-term Contract (W2 only, no third party candidates please)
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join a hybrid team in Lansing, Michigan. The Business Analyst will play a key role in gathering, documenting, and communicating clear and testable business requirements while serving as ScrumMaster. You'll collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure business needs are fully understood and translated into effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements that are clear, testable, and aligned with project goals.
- Facilitate requirement sessions with project team members and stakeholders.
- Serve as ScrumMaster, managing backlogs, epics, features, and user stories in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, QA testers, and other team members to ensure requirements are implemented correctly.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, process flows, and system documentation.
- Provide input for build vs. buy decisions and assess the impact of scope changes.
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and adherence to methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years as a Business Analyst, including experience with QA processes.
- 5 years of Azure DevOps (epics, features, user stories, lifecycle management).
- Strong understanding of BA, QA, and DEV roles and responsibilities.
- Experience creating as-is/to-be process documentation and content.
- Skilled in building product roadmaps.
- Familiarity with Agile and project management methodologies.
- Proficiency with BA tools such as FIGMA, Visio, or similar.
