Job Summary

This is a hands-on supervisor overseeing daily shift operations on the production floor. Work closely with machine operators and other staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment, and will be responsible for securing the facility at the end of the shift.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**

• Supervise machine operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations on the production floor.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed to maintain high standards.
• Coordinate shift changeovers and ensure accurate communication with 1st and 3rd shift leadership.
• Perform regular floor checks to verify that equipment is functioning properly and operators are following standard procedures.
• Assist in training new employees and cross-training current staff as needed.
• Respond to any equipment malfunctions or safety issues and escalate appropriately.
• Complete shift reports and ensure accurate documentation of production data.
• Lock and secure the facility at the end of the shift, including verifying all doors are locked, lights and machinery are turned of f, and the building is safe and secure.
• Serve as the point of contact for any off-hours issues or emergencies that arise during the shift.
  
  

**Nature and Scope**

• Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior-level associates.
• Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.
• Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior-level associates.
  
  

**Work Environment**

• Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50 pounds) or awkward.

**Education and Experience**

• Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally 7 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  
  

**Preferred Qualifications**

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 1 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery and production workflows.
