Our firm is working with a growing Manufacturing plant in the Southern Tier of Upstate NY. They are looking for Senior Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to lead the development of advanced mechanical components
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design efforts for machined parts and brazed assemblies using CAD tools.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to develop efficient designs compliant with standards.
- Define and develop joint designs for high-temperature brazing
- Generate and maintain complete engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and test plans.
- Conduct FEA and tolerance analysis
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in mechanical design
- Proven expertise in designing components involving precision machining, tight tolerances, and high-temperature brazed joints.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and CNC machining processes (milling, turning, grinding).
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and FEA software.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR
- Experience with vacuum or dip brazing process design.
- Exposure to heat transfer and thermal stress analysis for high-temperature applications.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing process validation and first article inspection (FAI).
