JOB SUMMARY:
The Concrete Foreman oversees daily field operations for demolition and installation of concrete flatwork, curbs, equipment pads, sidewalks, and slab-on-grade work. Some projects include full plans and specifications while others require field layout and field‑engineered solutions. The Foreman ensures high‑quality workmanship, safe operations, and consistent project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead daily field operations for a 2–3 person crew.
- Interpret work based on construction plans, specifications, or field‑engineered layouts.
- Perform layout, forming, rebar placement, concrete placement, and finishing.
- Supervise demolition and site preparation.
- Verify grades, slopes, and dimensions.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and concrete deliveries.
- Communicate with inspectors, clients, and internal project teams.
- Maintain compliance with safety requirements on all jobsites.
- Uphold Capital workmanship standards across all installations.
- Document production quantities and daily reports.
- Train and mentor laborers to develop field skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of concrete forming, finishing, and layout.
- Ability to read plans and perform field layout without drawings.
- Leadership abilities to direct a small crew.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to operate concrete and demolition equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years concrete experience; 1 year leading crews preferred.
- Experience with municipal or commercial concrete is a plus.
- Experience with masonry tasks, including CMU block and small wall repairs is a plus
