HJ Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Grant Manager to support a state department. The Grant Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of federal and state-funded behavioral health grants, ensuring compliance, fiscal accountability, and alignment with program goals.
This position plays a critical role in supporting DSAMH's mission to strengthen mental health and substance use disorder services throughout Delaware.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full grant lifecycle, from proposal development to closeout.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant regulations (SAMHSA, HHS, etc.).
Track and report on budgets, expenditures, and program performance.
Review subrecipient financial and programmatic reports for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and submit required progress and financial reports to funding agencies.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to monitor program goals and outcomes.
Develop and maintain procedures, templates, and tools for grant compliance and documentation.
Provide training and technical assistance to DSAMH program teams and community partners.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
3 years of experience in grant management or administration, preferably in behavioral health or public sector environments.
Demonstrated understanding of SAMHSA, HHS, or federal grant compliance standards.
Experience monitoring and reporting on multiple grants simultaneously.
Skills:
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and grant management platforms (e.g., eGrants, GrantSolutions).
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Knowledge of Delaware's behavioral health system and DSAMH operations.
Experience working with state or federal agencies.
Familiarity with performance-based and reimbursement grant structures.
