DEPARTMENT:900 – AccountingPOSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO:Accounting LeadPOSITION TYPE:Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)JOB SUMMARY:Provides support to the Accounting Department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, communicating with vendors, answering phones, processing the mail, filing and other duties as needed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review invoices, billing statements and similar documents for accuracy. Post invoices into Quick Books after matching with required documents.Reconcile vendor statements and resolutions for discrepancies.Assist with the American Express card reconciliation – once a month.Processing the mail and preparing the Accounts Receivables checks for deposits.Prepare Accounts Payable aging reports on a weekly basis.Assist with onboarding of new hires and prepare New Hire packets.Assist with Insurance Open Enrollments as needed.Assist with year- end tax reports.Maintain Accounts Payables and Personnel files.Provide back up support to Human Resources Department, Payroll and Accounts Receivables as needed.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Interest/experience with supporting the accounting team.Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Quick BooksStrong typing skills.Familiarity with basic accounting principles.Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding employee, payroll, and corporate information.Professional manner and a strong ethical code.Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.Company DescriptionHixson Metal Finishing is a premier metal finishing company whose vision is rooted in excellence, integrity, and accountability.
