Salary Range of $50,000 - $55,000; Final rate based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcomes guests in a professional and friendly manner and determine where best to seat them.
- Maintains and updates the seating system; Open Tables, including making reservations, keeping track of available tables, and managing waiting lists in coordination with kitchen and serving staff.
- Directs a team of diners to their table or the bar, provides them with menus, and answers questions about chef’s specials and other menu features.
- Responds to guest requests and questions politely and efficiently, taking note of food allergies and other dietary restrictions and coordinating with kitchen staff and other team members as needed.
- Answers Phone calls, replies to voice mails, reservations, emails and forwards any inquiries/messages to the appropriate person.
- Train host team on seating system, reservations, and proper hospitable etiquette utilizing the HOST 101 Document.
- Directs a team of Hosts providing them with all the knowledge needed to run a successful shift.
- Leads opening and closing of the restaurant in cooperation with the chef and back-of-house manager.
- Keeps waiting areas clean and organized and ensures that waiting customers are comfortable.
- Ensure diners have a pleasant, welcoming, and memorable dining experience.
- Resolves conflicts or addresses or works to prevent diner disappointments.
- May be called upon to assist in managing and scheduling host staff.

Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years in a full-service,
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities; adept at handling high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with restaurant systems and scheduling software; knowledge of Toast/Sling a plus; Ability to read and understand English; basic math and computer skills
- Attributes: Passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences. Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts. Able to lift and carry trays, food, and beverages safely. Flexibility in scheduling.
- Education: Degree in hospitality preferred, but not required
