Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assemble and erect metal structures, including beams, columns, and frameworks.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as micrometers and plasma cutters to shape and fit metal components.
- Rig heavy materials and equipment safely for lifting and placement.
- Perform machining tasks as needed to ensure precise measurements and fittings.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ironworking or related construction fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with metal work is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate various hand tools and machinery safely.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work at heights.
