Job Description:
HITACHIRAILislookingforanenthusiasticself-motivated IT Operations Engineer whothrivesinafast-paced environment. The successful candidate
is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. This position is based in Pittsburgh,PA.

- Designimplementandmanagetheorganization'scomputersystemsandnetworks
- MonitorandmaintainITinfrastructure,includingservers,networks,andcloudenvironments
- Ensuresystemavailability,performance,andscalabilitythroughproactivemonitoringandtuning
- Ensuresecureenvironmentbyproactivelyplanningandpatching/upgradingservices,servers,networkdevices
- Automateoperationalprocessesusingscriptingandconfigurationmanagementtools
- Implementandenforcesecuritypoliciesandprocedures
- Managebackups,disasterrecoveryplans,andbusinesscontinuitystrategies
- CollaboratewithServiceDesk,ApplicationandCyberSecurityTeams
- Maintaindocumentationforsystems,processes,andprocedures
- TroubleshootLevel3andresolvesystemandnetworkissuesinatimelymanner
- Participateinon-callrotationandincidentresponse

- ExperiencewithvirtualizationtechnologieslikeVMWare(mandatory),Hyper-V,Nutanix,KVM,proxmox...
- StrongknowledgeinSAN,NASandrelatedenvironment(e.g.,FiberChannel,iSCSI)
- Monitoringandoptimizingtheperformanceofvirtualizedresources,includingCPU,memory,andstorage.
- Deployingandmanagingvirtualmachines(VMs)andvirtualdesktopsacrossthevirtualizedenvironment.
- ManageStorage
- Ensuredataintegrity,security,andaccessibilityacrossvariousstorageplatforms
[Backup]
- Monitorbackupjobsdailytoverifysuccessfulcompletionandtroubleshootanyfailuresoranomalies.
- Managebackupinfrastructure,includingsoftwareVeeam,Commvault(mandatory)andhardware(e.g.,tapelibraries,NAS/SAN).
- Performregularrestoreteststovalidatebackupreliabilityandensurecompliancewithrecoverytimeobjectives(RTO)andrecoverypointobjectives(RPO)
Experiencewiththefollowingareas/products:
- Fortinetproductse.g.FortiManager,FortiWebandFortiAnalyzer.
- Ciscoproducts.Catalyst,Nexus,EnterpriseWireless,ISE,MobilityExpress.

Requiredexperience:
