The Incoming Inspector performs foundational inspection activities to verify that incoming materials meet required specifications. This role focuses on accurate measurement, documentation, and communication of non-conformances conducting functional tests purchased materials, using measuring tools (calipers, gauges), and documenting defects.
Accountabilities:
- Perform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections of incoming materials as well printed circuit boards
- Document inspection results, defects, and nonconformities
- Assist in inspection of containment
- Assist production groups with inspection of materials
- Verify supplier documentation, including certificates of conformity and measurement reports
- Use precise measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
- Perform transaction within SAP for incoming inspection
Must have the ability to:
- Successfully complete IPC 610/620 Certification
- Lift, stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time
- Lift or lower items weighing < 24lbs (10.9kg) and Push or Pull efforts < 42lbs (19kg)
Required skills/experience:
- 2-3 years of experience incoming inspection, electronic assemblies, or mechanical assemblies
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications and experience with SAP software
Desired skills/experience:
Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military/technical training
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Language
English proficiency
