How You’ll Make An Impact
- Manage the HSE and Sustainability strategy for the United States, ensuring alignment with global service goals.
- Coach and support service unit managers to foster a proactive safety culture and maintain compliance.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to the HSE Operating System, Life-Saving Rules, and high-risk activity protocols.
- Direct legal compliance and operational conformity across all assigned service units.
- Oversee environmental data reporting and conduct thorough investigations into any incidents.
- Verify the safe execution of field activities through meticulous planning and regular site visits.
- Manage and develop a team of HSE Specialists who support local service units.
- Promote a high-performance culture by acting as a role model and professional authority on HSE matters.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 10-15 years of HSE work experience with proven proficiency in safety programs and regulatory requirements.
- Professional HSE certification (such as CSP, ASP, CHSM, CHMM, CHST, or OHST) is highly desirable.
- Solid working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certificate, or a willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
