How You’ll Make An Impact
- Execute engineering orders for high voltage service projects, with a strong emphasis on DTB (Dead Tank Breaker) solutions.
- Prepare parts lists, project controls, specifications, and cost estimates to support HV Service delivery.
- Support rapid order execution for HV Service MTO (make to order) projects.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to DTB equipment and provide innovative solutions to meet customer and project requirements.
- Create and modify electrical/mechanical drawings and documentation to support Customer Orders.
- Drive process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality, especially for HV Service.
- Mentor and support other engineers, sharing DTB expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Participate in meetings with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes for HV Service initiatives.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in sectors such as electrical, mechanical, industrial, or utilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wire diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to “take the technical lead” on projects, especially those involving DTB equipment.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Experience with AutoCAD drafting is a plus.
