The team
We are seeking a Mongo DB/Vector DB DBA with 10-12 years of experience in database technologies and a strong emphasis on Mongo Db Atlas and Vector database technologies.
The role
- Design, deploy, and manage MongoDB and vector databases for small/large-scale applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain MongoDB clusters including replica sets and sharded clusters, ensuring data distribution and fault tolerance also Implement and maintain vector databases.
- Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization to maximize query efficiency and reduce response time.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks, query optimization, and replication problems.
What you'll bring
Experience designing business solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, Progressive years of experience in database technologies.
Extensive experience with Mongo Db Atlas and Vector database technologies
Experience with cloud databases and cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure).
Strong command of SQL, PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting skills.
Strong experience in SQL tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, PGADMIN, Mongo CLI, Mongo DB Compass etc.
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
Understanding relational and dimensional data modeling.
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $120k-$140k base bonus.
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
