Duties

• Source and purchase sports cards and collectibles from various suppliers, including online marketplaces, distributors, and private collectors
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms to secure optimal deals that align with inventory needs and pricing strategies
• Manage procurement processes utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, or Oracle EBS to ensure seamless order placement and tracking
• Coordinate logistics and inventory management activities to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to identify trending items and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly
• Conduct market research on current sports card trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging collectibles to inform purchasing decisions
• Maintain comprehensive records of purchase transactions, supplier contacts, contracts, and inventory movements for audit readiness

Experience

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within supply chain management or collectibles industry preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable prices and contractual terms
• Knowledge of materials management, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain processes essential for effective sourcing
• Experience in e-commerce platforms related to sports memorabilia sales is a plus
• Understanding of contracts, pricing strategies, production planning, and merchandising principles related to collectibles or retail environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams effectively
