- Always look for your next customer, make eye contact and greet your customer with a smile and prompt service. Every customer should be paid the ultimate compliment of recognition and attention.
- Courtesy and hospitality should be extended in full measure to every guest. Locate items requested by the customer. Assist customers to tables as necessary.
- Be knowledgeable of popular teas and servicing procedures from 1773, share this information accurately with the customer.
- Be exact of highly accurate when performing data entry at the register and procedures in handling cash payments, checks, and credit cards.
- Perform food preparation duties, such as baking muffins, plating premade pastries and preparing hot and cold beverages.
- Ability to work independently and in groups over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.
- Ability to work safely while wearing a colonial costume.
- Having basic math skills.
- Ability to work with money, credit cards, and cash receipts.
- Ability to read, write, and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must pass pre-employment, background check, and substance abuse testing
