Position Summary
The Tavern Worker ensures that guests at the Pirates Treasure Bar have an authentic experience providing prompt and friendly service serving a pirate's grog while telling pirate jokes, describing the pirate experience and answering questions about the pirate museum’s exhibits.

Requirements:
Essential Functions
- Demonstrate responsible alcohol service
- Learn about the exhibits in the Pirates Museum to teach or interpret pirate history
- Must be able to perform in a pirate character
Required Skills, Knowledege, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations to satisfy the needs of our guests
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult people both in person and via the radio while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow CASTmembers and the general public
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Acting and/or improv training for guest interaction
- Restaurant or bar background preferred
- Valid Bar Card or equivalent
- Valid Bar Smart certification
