Position Purpose

The Bartender ensures that guests at the Old Savannah Distillery have an authentic experience. It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they leave the bar by providing prompt and friendly service, describing and assisting them in making beverage selections. Prepare orders and process orders and payments on the register. Assist fellow team members in ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Have knowledge in a wide range of spirits and history of various drinks ingredients and mixing methods and be able to explain the knowledge to the guests.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all spirits and mixers, such as soft drinks, juices, syrups, and bitters.
• Ensure proper rotation of inventory and proper documentation of inventory reporting.
• Ensure security of all supply inventories and monies. Keep management informed of low inventory levels of supplies.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as accurately production and maintaining reports and other departmental documents as necessary. Keep records required by government agencies.
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments and external.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4 Years experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar
  
  

Other Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
• Valid Bar Card or equivalent.
• Valid Bar Smart certification.
• Have a passion for helping people and making their Savannah experience a memorable one.
