About the Property

The Historic Sheridan Inn has been a landmark of Western hospitality since 1893. A member of Historic Hotels of America, the Inn features 22 individually themed suites in one of Wyoming’s most storied buildings.

This is not a front desk that runs on autopilot. Every guest interaction is an opportunity to shape how someone experiences this place - from the first call to the final farewell.

The Role

The Guest Service Representative is the first and last impression of the Inn. You set the tone. That means creating a sense of arrival, guiding the guest experience throughout their stay, and ensuring that every interaction reflects the level of care this property is built on.

You will work closely with the Innkeeper and across all departments — housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage — to ensure that what the guest experiences is seamless, thoughtful, and personal.

This role is the right fit if you believe that hospitality begins before check-in and continues long after check-out. That details matter. That a guest who feels genuinely welcomed will return — and that small moments, handled well, are what define a stay.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a strong sense of arrival and departure — every guest is acknowledged, welcomed, and seen
  • Guide guests through their stay: check-ins, check-outs, reservations, recommendations, and requests
  • Serve as the communication hub of the Inn — connecting departments to ensure a seamless experience
  • Anticipate guest needs and act on them with confidence and care
  • Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism, ownership, and follow-through
  • Manage reservations, room assignments, and daily front desk operations with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby environment
  • Share the story of the Sheridan Inn — giving guests a sense of place, not just a place to stay

You take the work seriously because you understand its impact — but you bring an ease and approachability that makes guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, welcoming presence
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with reservation or POS systems is a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
