Role Description
Historic Fallsington, Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of Director's Assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who can directly support our Executive Director and help to execute HFI core mission as a non-profit historic site.
The Director’s Assistant will participate in various aspects of day-to-day operations of this historic site, with primary tasks including delivering guided tours of our historic buildings, staffing our visitor’s center and gift shop, and completing general clerical and administrative duties in support of our fundraising efforts.
The Director’s Assistant reports directly to the Executive Director, and as such will include a variety of tasks and responsibility as assigned by the ED. The assistant must be able to both work under the direction of the ED and perform job related tasks independently.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have a demonstrated ability to be reliable, dependable and hardworking. This role requires someone with the ability to work both collaboratively with the Executive Director and as well as independently.
- There is no educational prerequisite for this position, but candidates with an educational or professional background in historic preservation, non-profit management, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Due to the historic nature of our work space, the physical requirements for the position are: the candidate must be able to navigate stairs, carry up to 20 pounds, and travel the site on foot.
