VP, Compliance Product Officer - Hybrid

Serves as an Institutional Client Group (ICG) Operations & Technology product compliance officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, engages with the ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply CRM program solutions that meet the ICG Operations & Technology businesses and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Primary responsibilities include monitoring compliance risk behaviors and providing day-to-day Compliance advice relating to the ICG Operations & Technology businesses and guidance on rules/laws and interpretation on internal policies and procedures.

Key activities include:

• Partnering closely with all ICG Business, Product Compliance, Surveillance and PTOA teams to ensure appropriate horizontal coverage of operations and technology functions (including enterprise-wide implementations).
• Assisting in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies and practices for ICG ICRM program deliverables and milestones in the coverage of ICG Operations and Technology.
• Providing guidance on rules and regulations relating to the ICG Operations & Technology businesses operational issues, as well as provide transactional approvals and interpretation of internal compliance policies.
• Assisting in providing oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex issues, structures potential solutions and drives effective resolution with other stakeholders.
• Providing advice to the business on an ongoing basis on new initiatives, new products, acquisitions, and client-related matters with respect to applicability of policies, resolution of potential red flags or other client/transaction-related compliance escalations.
• Assisting ICG Operations & Technology and ICRM Stakeholders on horizontal compliance risk, issues management and lessons learned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. This may include coordination with regulators and other parties.
• Collaborating with other internal areas including Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact the ICG Operations & Technology businesses.
• Assisting in the development and administration of targeted Compliance training for ICG Operations and Technology.
• Identifies and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
• Staying abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news including regulatory findings.
• Researching any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures, or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.
• Assisting in the establishment of ICRM policies, procedures, and controls to comply with these new or changed laws and regulations.
