SVP - Senior Lead Analyst - Balance Sheet Management (Hybrid)

The Balance Sheet Mgmt Sr Ld Anlst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

The CBNA Treasury Senior Lead Business Analyst will require a broad understanding of banking activities, regulations and the impact of those activities upon CBNA's balance sheet. Particular emphasis will be placed upon balance sheet and capital management and controls.

Demonstrated analytical capabilities must highlight the candidate's ability to diagnose issues and identify opportunities within a dynamic environment. The Analyst will have the opportunity to work with other areas of Treasury, Controllers, FP&A and FRSS in various finance fields such as Resolution and Recovery Plan, Net Interest Margin, Affiliate Exposures (Regulation W), and Interest Risk Exposure

Primary responsibilities include supporting the CBNA Treasurer and the U.S. Bank Treasurer in all facets of Treasury management for those entities including the following:

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of materials for senior managers, Board of Directors, and regulators of CBNA and its U.S. bank charter subsidiaries, with focus on balance sheet and capital position, including CBNA's Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and CBNA's Capital and Liquidity Assessment Review Panel (CLARP).
• Assist with Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR) / Dodd Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST) process which includes forecast of balance sheet lines, liquidity and capital ratios in various stress scenarios.
• Coordinate with country treasurers and other legal entity treasurers and managers on balance sheet optimization and forecasting for bank entities, including the allocation of assets and deposit targets and return of capital.
• Manage communication, procedures, and training related to U.S. bank dividend permissibility
• Collaborate with Treasury Asset/Liability Management to edit and maintain the CBNA Capital Procedure in order to maintain compliance with regulations and planning considerations.
• Monitor the Citibank, N.A. ("CBNA") balance sheet and key operating metrics for CBNA and its US bank charter subsidiaries, including capital, liquidity, interest rate risk and net interest revenue to support senior management in strategic decision-making.
• Assist Legal Entity Treasurer for domestic subsidiaries of CBNA with responsibility for all facets of balance sheet management for any such entity.
• Support balance sheet governance and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy framework
• Collaborate as necessary with Business Treasury, Finance, and the partners in Citi businesses to understand balance sheet changes and their impact on the key metrics. Document significant changes in activity and where appropriate work with those partners to drive change and optimization.
• Drive balance sheet optimization and establish and implement governance policies through the CBNA Asset and Liabilities Committee to ensure prudent liquidity and capital levels.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Capital Planning and others to create balance sheet forecasts for CBNA considering the impact of business activity on capital adequacy, interest rate risk, liquidity and net interest margin

Qualifications:

• 7 years' experience in a Treasury, Finance or relevant Business role
• BA/BS in relevant analytical discipline required, MBA with Finance concentration or equivalent preferred
• Developed skill base with respect to liquidity and interest rate management
• Familiarity with recent bank regulatory developments including LCR, NSFR, Basel capital requirements and Regulation W
• Collaborative orientation along with desire to interact with colleagues at all levels
• Leadership orientation
• Demonstrated ability to concisely communicate analytical objectives, observations and relevance of findings across the organization in written, visual (graphical) and verbal form
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
