We're seeking a future team member in the role of Specialist, Production Services Infrastructure Support to join our Technology Production Services (TPS) team with an infrastructure organization This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Linux Engineer must be able to support, troubleshoot, and tune Linux hosts.
- System problem resolution - including detailed analysis and reporting of the problem.
- Assist in the resolution of application, database, middleware, etc., problem.
- System performance analysis and tuning
- Configure and support system automation.
- Participate is root cause analysis of problems.
- Ensure that management receives timely updates on assigned tasks to facilitate frequent and proactive customer communication.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
- 4-5 years of experience with supporting Red Hat Operating System
- Enterprise level experience with Linux, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and monitoring.
- Enterprise level experience with Linux, including troubleshooting, problem resolution.
- Understanding of networks and routing in regards of their relationship to server operation
- Experience with NAS and SAN storage.
- Experience supporting virtualized hosts, preferably in VMWare or Azure.
- Experience with enterprise level automation - including tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Understanding of enterprise level authentication.
- Experience with shell scripting -e.g. bash, Perl, Python, Go
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (written, interpersonal, and presenting)
