Securities & Derivatives Sr Analyst Assistant Vice President

Citi is seeking an Assistant Vice President within ICG Operations and Technology organization supporting our Exchange Traded Derivatives and OTC Clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage business. The current team resides in Tampa, Florida with additional staffing support from Mumbai India. Role includes significant interface with the firm's clients, business & finance partners, internal technology & operations teams and external brokers/vendors. Candidate is expected to process manage day to day operations and controls associated with Brokerage Receivables/Payables function in support of NAM, EMEA and APAC regions. Additional responsibilities include driving projects and initiatives aligned to organizational priorities of Platform Simplification, Service, Robust Control Environment and People. Candidate will assist with managing and providing guidance to staff in both Tampa and Mumbai, while driving business analysis, project strategy, key metric delivery, and subject matter expertise relating to day to day Operations Management.

Citi's Derivatives Clearing business consolidates Futures, OTC Derivatives and FX Prime Brokerage activity in order to provide clients with a comprehensive and consistent service experience
Citi Futures is one of the world's largest participants in exchange-traded derivative markets and has also established itself as a market leader in the evolving OTC Clearing world.

Responsibilities:

• Support day to day Income & Expense team operations supporting brokerage receivable/payable function covering 3 business locations globally.
• Role includes extensive exposure to senior business managers and product controllers overseeing business P&L.
• Oversee daily brokerage invoice settlement and client billing functions including problem solving issues as they arise.
• Provide monthly balance sheet control oversight to ensure accuracy of revenue and transaction expense settled.
• Adhere to all control, compliance and regulatory requirements impacting function.
• Exception reporting and appropriate escalation of issues to Senior Management.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing controls & client service and take action to effect change.
• Drive and lead project initiatives relating to team to ensure resource management and execution of key deliverables.
• Responsible for training and contributing to regional initiatives on an ongoing basis.
• Provide leadership, direction, oversight and advocacy for functions and processes supported.
• Provide thought leadership to Junior staff Senior Management by staying abreast of industry trends, technology advancements and competitor processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience related to being a team lead in Futures Clearing and/or Operations.
• Demonstrated strong project management, process improvement and leadership experience required.
• Track record of mentoring, coaching and developing junior team members.
• Ability to communicate in a compelling manner with all levels of management and across functional areas - both written and oral.
• Ability to operate in a highly matrixed and ambiguous environment, navigate through the global framework, handle conflicting priorities with effective time management and problem solving skills.
• Ability to influence, create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; creating a strong network and relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, senior decision makers and stakeholders.
• Logical, analytic and rationale thinker; strong data analytics capabilities preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel data analysis skills including the use of pivot tables, vlookups, if statements, etc. to diagnose issues and present findings.
