The Cyber Risk Sr Officer I is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and oversees the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Develops/Reviews publications and briefings of tech/cyber issues/events which can impact M&SST.
- Credibly challenging the front line's criteria, tools and methodologies used for tech/cyber risk assessment, mitigation controls etc..
- Serves as the substantive analytical authority for analysis and production of intelligent assessments of tech/cyber risks/controls/monitoring.
- Produces innovative strategic-level reports that promote decision making to advance the safety and security of Citi's infrastructure and brand.
- Leads/Supports intelligence production within the Risk organization, producing strategic intelligence products and threat forecasts, and serve as a primary liaison to the first line intelligence components.
- Reviews analytical products and drive analytical planning and the production cycle.
- Handles ORM work-efforts with a host of participants and stakeholders while guiding analytical efforts on complex issues. Drive outcomes and recommendations of projects into Citi businesses globally.
- Guides decisions by policy, business and client groups concerning major tech/cyber risks/issues.
- Partners with senior Citi staff to produce strategic challenges and risk forecasts.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10 years relevant experience
- Knowledgeable about current and emerging trends.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. experience with complex judgments and solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- Credit and Market Risk, Securities Services, Asset Servicing etc. preferred
- The candidate must speak Spanish, Portuguese a plus.
