We're seeking a future team member for the role of Lead Analyst to join our Structured Products team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA and is a HYBRID position.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Produce payments on new and existing book of mortgage-backed security bonds (MBS, ABS, CMBS).
- Script cash-flow models for new transactions using BNY Mellon's in-house modeling platform.
- Troubleshoot payment results with an independent shadow component and present findings and recommendations to senior analysts.
- Review legal deal documents and analyze collateral pools.
- Communicate complex payment methodologies to investors, issuers, and counsel.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Intermediate knowledge of asset-backed securities (MBS, ABS, CMBS).
- Working knowledge in bond math and waterfall cash-flow modeling.
- Working knowledge in scripting waterfall cash-flow payments.
- Experience in reading and interpreting legal deal documents.
- Willingness to speak-up and respectively offer opposing views.
