Financial Systems Project Delivery Senior Analyst

Title: Financial Systems Project Delivery Sr Analyst Business Function: FinanceLocation: Nashville, TN

The Global Finance Delivery Lead is a link between the technology teams and the Finance organization to deliver valuable initiatives on behalf of the Finance department. This role will provide support to the senior level Finance Project Delivery Leads in their efforts to provide best-in-class project manager delivery techniques, processes, and leadership as it relates to the objectives of Asurion as a whole and Asurion Finance in particular. This role will gain a high-level understanding of business priorities and objectives to effectively execute against their department objectives and goals. As well as, adhering to the project delivery guiding principles and risk management techniques to ensure successful project implementations.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES:

• Quickly learn a high-level understanding of Asurion financial business processes and technologies
• Work with users and project stakeholders to define and capture business requirements and specifications
• Partner with IT to ensure requirements are implemented per business requirements
• Capture, track and report reported system issues by Finance Accounting business partners.
• Capture, track and report prioritization of system fixes based on business impact.
• Manage and coordinate project meetings, record/maintain meeting minutes and develop weekly status reports, update dashboards and other communications i.e., project issue, risk and decision logs
• Effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to manager and other stakeholders on projects
• Support formal Project Management Life Cycle, Software Development Life Cycle, and Change Management Process
• Maps as is and to be business processes and functional flow charts across different business unit

• Ability to quickly learn high level financial & accounting concepts.
• Ability to work within changing and ambiguous project environments with direction from supervisor.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time (excellent organizational & time management skills).

Technical skills:

• Ability to help coordinate meetings with technical accounting and finance professionals.
• Ability to quickly assimilate new business and technical concepts.
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (Agile software delivery concepts)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Proficiency in capturing & documenting important actions from project meetings in Smartsheets (preferred but not mandatory).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

• 4-year college degree
• Experienced with IT Software Development Life Cycle in all phases
• > 1 Year

Preferred Education and Experience

• 4-year college degree in technology, business management, accounting, financial analysis, or related field;
• Experience in the Finance/Accounting industry (credit, banking, insurance, etc.) preferred
• Experienced with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology preferred
• Experience with Smartsheet Software preferred
• > 1 Year

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent
