Citi's Finance Division is comprised of various global functions, including: Citi Ventures, Strategy and M&A, Treasury, Controllers, Balance Sheet Substantiation, Financial Projects & Initiatives, and Financial Planning & Analysis. The Finance Division is the guardian and communicator of key financial information and controls. As a partner with Citi's various businesses, Citi Finance drives business franchise and legal entity decisions on capital planning, liquidity, budgeting, tax, strategic direction and policy management.

Citi's Corporate Strategy team serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership to address high impact strategic issues across Citi's businesses and functions. The team works in close partnership with business heads and senior leadership to identify opportunities and issues of strategic importance, develop transformational strategies to achieve business mandates, drive change by partnering with business leadership, and provide clarity in complex problems to facilitate decision-making. The team sits within the Finance organization.

The Director, Executive Scorecards typically has 10 years of experience in Financial Services with a proven track record of Change Management.

The Citi Executive Scorecards team, is responsible for establishing global standards for key performance metrics and ensuring consistent usage and reporting across planning, review and performance management processes. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a globally robust, consistent and efficient controls framework and providing direction and management oversight for Citi Executive Scorecards team. The candidate will lead strategic initiatives to improve, automate and standardize the production environment. And will ultimately be responsible for the quality of the operational processes that underly the production of Executive Scorecards. Successful candidates will have excellent stakeholder management skills, experience maintaining a strong controls environment and have strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team responsible for all aspects of scorecard production including client service
  • Accountable for setting program objectives and maintaining oversight for execution of BAU processes and change agenda
  • Provide strategic direction with focus on driving change, immediate improvements, strategic and remediation projects in order to reduce risk, increase efficiency and enhance data performance
  • Partner with Senior Leaders across Finance, Business and Functions to lead the annual review of Executive Scorecard metrics in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Oversee and prioritize portfolio of projects geared towards strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of controls environment
  • Identify and drive Scorecard and related performance management process improvement opportunities in partnership with a diverse set of stakeholders, including Technology and HR
  • Enhance the existing controls framework by identifying gaps, perform root cause analysis and driving technology and process solutions to remediate
  • Manage subject matter experts leading strategic and tactical automation projects, including scoping, design, implementation, and quality assurance of implementation activities taking into account the complex data requirements across diverse business and functions systems
  • Gain senior level buy-in to approaches and plans for implementing business process and infrastructure change
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Services
  • Proven track record with change management and process improvement
  • Must have strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, project management and financial reporting
  • A control focused mind-set with strong process improvement capabilities. Must be able to evaluate relative control risks and develop creative, short- and medium-term solutions
  • Able to determine strategic direction and clearly communicate accountabilities and expectations to delivery team
  • Comfortable applying sound, consistent business judgement to drive results
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication. The successful candidate needs to be able to communicate with a variety of audiences who have varying levels of expertise.
  • Effectively interacts with global partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies. Leadership presence; commands respect and will earn trust of senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to directly engage on detailed issues while maintaining perspective and identifying and mitigating broader issues and risks

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree, Professional Accounting qualification and/or CFA is a plus
