Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the developmental and emotional needs of children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere that promotes childhood growth and learning. The Childcare Provider will collaborate with families and team members to ensure each child's well-being and development are prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a safe and attentive manner, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including play, learning exercises, and social interactions.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers.
- Monitor children's behavior and apply effective behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to engage children through teaching, play-based learning, and nurturing interactions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members.
- Reliable, patient, compassionate, and attentive to children's individual needs.
