We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our team in a busy urgent care and primary care clinic setting. The successful candidate will provide primary and urgent care to patients of all ages which acute or chronic needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting, be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. The Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant will also be responsible for greeting the patient with a friendly and personable attitude, doing an initial work up of the patients current needs, vital signs, perform appropriate diagnostic testing, lab draws, and charting information in individual charts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial work up and take vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Assist physicians in providing primary care services to patients in a clinic setting.
- Provide patient education on health topics and disease prevention.
- Provide care for pediatric patients, performing routine health screenings.
- Assist in urgent care situations, such as minor injuries or illnesses.
- Obtaining prior authorizations and scheduling imaging
- Calling laboratry reports as directed by the provider
