We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs.

Hirshfield's operates full-service decorating centers in Minnesota with an unrivaled selection of paints, wallcoverings, fabrics and window fashions. We are the leading specialty retailer of decorating products in our markets.

The Hirshfield's Monticello Location is now looking to fill Full Time Sales Positions

This position is available 6 days a week during mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Store Hours are:

Mon - Fri: 7am to 5pm

Saturday: 9am - 2pm

Various shifts are available during normal store hours. Closing hours preferred with rotating weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
• Assist customers with color selection
• Mix and tint paint
• Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash with care.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise as needed.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience using cash registers.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
• Ability to perform product demonstrations effectively to engage customers.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• A proactive approach to supervising team members and assisting in training new staff.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and rotating weekends.

Your hourly rate of pay will be based on your experience
