đ What Youâll Be Doing:
- Oversee daily shop operationsâprioritize workloads, assign tasks, and keep repair timelines on track.
- Lead a team of diesel mechanics, offering technical guidance, coaching, and support to ensure quality work every time.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers, setting the gold standard for performance.
- Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairsânothing gets past you.
- Order parts, manage inventory, and track repair costs to keep operations efficient and budget-conscious.
- Ensure safety compliance and uphold the highest standards in every repair and procedure.
- Communicate directly with drivers, dispatch, and leadership, acting as the bridge between shop and road.
- Train and mentor new mechanics, helping develop the next generation of diesel pros.
- 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, with at least 1â2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong diagnostic skills and deep knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and trailer systems.
- Comfortable with shop software, repair tracking tools, and basic computer tasks.
- DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance knowledge.
- A team-focused, can-do attitudeâyou motivate others and lead by example.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize repairs, and stay cool under pressure.
