Sausage Production & Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, hands-on Production Assistant to work alongside our sausage maker and production team.

This is a physical, back-of-house position in our European meat market. The job involves meat preparation, sausage production, cleaning, washing equipment and dishes, lifting, moving products, and helping with whatever is needed to keep production running.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sausage and meat production and preparation
• Grind and prepare meat for production
• Help prepare ingredients and products
• Move sausages and other products to and from the smokehouse
• Load, unload, and organize products in coolers, freezers, and storage areas
• Wash dishes, trays, containers, and production equipment
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, and tables
• Lift and move boxes, meat, supplies, and finished products
• Help with packaging, labeling, and storage
• Take out trash and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist the sausage maker and kitchen/production staff with daily tasks
• Perform other back-of-house duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous food production, kitchen, meat market, butcher shop, or similar experience preferred
• Must be hardworking, dependable, and physically capable
• Comfortable doing a lot of standing, lifting, cleaning, and physical work
• Able to lift and move approximately 40–60 lbs
• Comfortable working in a cold environment, including coolers and freezers
• Able to work with meat and food products
• Must be willing to do cleaning and dishwashing as part of the job
• Must be reliable and show up on time
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Important

This is a hands-on physical job. It is not a desk position and not a light kitchen job. The right person should be energetic, dependable, willing to work hard, and ready to help with whatever is needed in the production area.
