Parts Specialist – Automotive Dealership
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Specialist to join our dealership team. The Parts Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the parts department operates efficiently by providing timely, accurate, and friendly service to technicians and customers.
Job Responsibilities

Assist technicians and retail customers in selecting and purchasing parts

Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and supplies

Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments

Process parts orders, returns, and warranties in accordance with dealership policies

Monitor and manage special order parts, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery

Maintain organized and clean parts storage areas

Provide price quotes and availability information to service staff and customers

Collaborate with the service and sales departments to meet internal parts needs

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of parts catalog and inventory systems
Requirements
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must be dependable, customer-focused, and possess a willingness to learn dealership systems and procedures.
Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED

One to two years of experience in an automotive parts department preferred

Knowledge of automotive systems and components

Familiarity with parts inventory software is an asset

Valid Operator Driver’s License (must be insurable)
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
