Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper (Restaurant Experience Preferred)

Location: Northern Nassau County, NY - On-Site

Job Type: Part-Time (20–30 hours/week – Flexible days/hours)

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 / hour (Depending on experience)

We are a premier, fast-paced restaurant located in Northern Nassau County. We pride ourselves on exceptional hospitality, great food, and a supportive team environment. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial operations and keep our accounts running smoothly.

The Bookkeeper will work with our Accounting team for seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Accurately record all daily financial transactions into QuickBooks general ledger accounts.
• Payroll Processing: Gather hours, manage tips, and coordinate seamlessly with our outside payroll company to ensure accurate and timely employee payout.
• Accounts Payable: Oversee vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and manage timely payments to suppliers and partners.
• Financial Upkeep: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and handle other general bookkeeping duties as needed to support management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience required. Restaurant or hospitality industry experience is a major plus.
• Software: High proficiency with QuickBooks is required; experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and restaurant POS integrations is highly preferred.
• Skills: Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently.
• Reliability: High level of integrity and trustworthiness when handling confidential financial data.
