THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day facility operations at a high-volume production site in Centerville, Maryland. This individual will manage maintenance activities across a range of equipment including HVAC, packaging, and processing machinery, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate has experience within manufacturing or CPG environments, someone who understands the rhythm of production, thrives in fast-paced settings, and is confident in managing both planned and reactive maintenance operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Oversee maintenance, repair, and equipment reliability for the full facility, including HVAC, packaging, and process machinery.
Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance programs are implemented effectively.
Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Collaborate with production leadership to align maintenance priorities with facility goals.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside service providers as needed.
Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards while promoting continuous improvement across the facility.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5 years of maintenance management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, food, beverage, or CPG environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including familiarity with packaging and processing equipment.
Proven ability to manage multiple maintenance programs and schedules in a high-throughput facility.
Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example in a production-focused environment.
WHAT YOU WILL LIKELY NEED
Working knowledge of CMMS or other maintenance tracking systems.
Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, automation, or industrial utility systems.
Exposure to CPG manufacturing environments such as food, beverage, or consumer goods.
Ability to thrive in a startup-style environment with evolving processes and priorities.
