Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Environmental Test Technician to join our dynamic team supporting the testing of flight hardware. This role will focus on conducting hands-on environmental stress screening, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining high-performance testing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor junior technicians on proper vibration control installation and environmental testing techniques
Conduct thermal, vibration, and pressure testing on flight hardware in line with internal procedures
Install, operate, and maintain test systems including vibration tables, thermal chambers, pressure systems, and DAQ setups
Use and support DAQ components such as pressure transducers (PTs), thermocouples (TCs), voltage/current sensors, and mass flow meters
Collaborate with test engineers and management to coordinate daily testing activities
Uphold 5S standards and perform maintenance on equipment and work areas
Configure test setups and instrumentation per engineering test plans
Manage multiple projects while adhering to operational schedules
Identify and communicate risks related to cost, schedule, and performance, and propose mitigation strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
3 5 years of environmental testing experience (vibration, shock, specification performance)
High school diploma or GED with 5 10 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in data acquisition systems, data analysis, and reading technical drawings and instructions
Familiarity with electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic test equipment
Strong communication, organizational, and self-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Physically able to climb ladders, stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs
Must be a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification
Experience designing/fabricating test equipment
Familiarity with MES, non-conformance tracking, and work order systems
Skilled in calibration equipment and GSE/fittings
Strong knowledge of instrumentation such as RTDs, strain gauges, flow meters, accelerometers, relays, solenoids
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and reports
Experience with LabVIEW, Test Stand, National Instruments, Arduino, and Dewesoft
