🕒 Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
📅 Duration: 6-Month Contract | Potential Temp-to-Hire
💲 Pay Rate: Up to $43.33/hr on W2
HireTalent is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to join a large manufacturing facility supporting safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
✅ Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
✅ Deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety culture
✅ Support environmental compliance, permitting, and waste management programs
✅ Oversee machine safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fire & life safety programs
✅ Partner with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
✅ Support OSHA, environmental, and corporate EHS compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor's Degree in a related field
✔ 3-5 years of Safety Engineering/EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
✔ Strong Ergonomics background
✔ Experience with machine safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
✔ Manufacturing experience involving CNC machinery, heavy equipment, fabrication, assembly operations, automation, or robotics
✔ Environmental compliance experience, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Ability to work independently on 2nd shift
Preferred:
⭐ Union manufacturing experience
⭐ ISO Environmental Management Systems knowledge
⭐ Experience working in highly automated production facilities
