We are seeking a Technician to support a Communications and Control Engineering group as a hands‑on, field‑based resource. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and functionality of communication systems and distribution devices through installation, verification, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Perform field installation, configuration, and verification of communication equipment and controllers
- Troubleshoot electrical, networking, and communication issues with distribution devices
- Support battery storage systems and related program verification efforts
- Maintain and update databases and documentation for field equipment
- Coordinate closely with engineering and technical services teams to resolve issues
- Travel to assigned service centers and field locations daily
- Follow safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe driving practices
- Occasionally use ladders and perform physical fieldwork as required
Qualifications
- Approximately 2 years of experience in communications, IT, telecommunications, or electrical troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (Ethernet, connectivity, firewalls)
- Experience with database updates and basic data management
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and field personnel
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
