Technical Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to ensure enterprise IT architectural integrity and serve as a critical interface between systems development teams and IT project leadership. This role provides oversight, coordination, and technical leadership across the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, and governance of enterprise architecture and infrastructure. The Senior Technical Lead aligns IT strategies with organizational mission, goals, and business processes while promoting secure, scalable, and standards‐based solutions across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and govern enterprise IT architecture frameworks, standards, policies, and reference models
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between systems developers, IT project managers, and business stakeholders
• Develop and maintain current‐state and target‐state enterprise architecture models and roadmaps
• Identify architectural gaps and create transition plans to move from current to target architectures
• Advise on and support architectural planning for enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Establish and promote enterprise‐wide technology principles to guide solution design and investment decisions
• Identify opportunities to improve enterprise systems through modernization and emerging technologies
• Provide architecture guidance, coordination, and oversight to IT project teams
• Document enterprise infrastructure, business units, and key processes using industry‐standard modeling techniques
• Ensure technical integration across the enterprise through participation in test planning, validation, and design reviews
• Evaluate the impact of enterprise architecture decisions on IT investments, operations, and stakeholder outcomes
• Coordinate governance and portfolio management activities to ensure architectural compliance
• Promote and educate stakeholders on the value and use of enterprise architecture
• Ensure consistent application of information security and assurance principles across all architecture components

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‐related or Engineering field
• (Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year‐for‐year basis)
• Minimum 7 years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes
• At least 4 years of experience in a technical lead or leadership capacity
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, reference models, and infrastructure design
• Experience with program and project management concepts and practices
• Ability to develop enterprise architecture plans, including current/target architectures, sequencing plans, and standards
• Experience defining metrics and measurement techniques to evaluate architecture effectiveness
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present clear, effective reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise‐scale architecture governance and portfolio management
• Background working across multiple IT disciplines in complex environments
• Strong understanding of information security and assurance practices within enterprise architecture
