Overview
We are seeking an E&C Engineer II to support capital and operational projects across a diverse portfolio of power generation assets, including gas, coal, wind, and hydro facilities.
In this role, you will manage projects from initiation through completion—ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative engineering environment. This position offers exposure to utility-scale infrastructure projects and long-term career growth within a stable, expanding organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and capital projects from planning through execution and close-out
- Coordinate with operations, reliability, engineering, and plant leadership teams
- Monitor and control project scope, budget, timelines, and contractor performance
- Develop and maintain project forecasts, lead sheets, and status updates
- Source and coordinate contractors and external resources
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including oversight of lockout/tagout processes
- Conduct project reviews, job walkdowns, and site inspections
- Participate in daily planning (POD) meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
- Identify risks, issues, and resource gaps, and implement mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- 3–7 years of engineering or project experience (utility or industrial experience preferred)
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering background in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Environmental disciplines
- Experience in utility generation, oil & gas, manufacturing, or large industrial environments
- Familiarity with tools such as SAP, Maximo, or similar work management systems
- Experience with data tools such as Power BI
- Project management or process improvement certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma)
- Experience with renewable energy or generation assets
